PBN’s Business Women Awards Luncheon
President of Newberry Public Relations and Marketing, Betty Galligan, was honored as an Achievement Honoree at Providence Business News’ 4th Annual Business Women Awards Luncheon at the Providence Marriott on May 5, 2011. Her business profile/feature story ran in the “Business Women” section of the newspaper in this past August. The event honored women who were selected for their achievements in a variety of industries and recognized for their leadership and career success.

NPR&M President Teaching Courses at Bryant University
For the second consecutive year, Newberry Public Relations & Marketing President Betty Galligan is teaching several marketing courses in 2012 at the Bryant University Executive Development Center. The courses (offered online and on campus) are entitled as follows: “Customer Relationship Marketing” and “e-Social Marketing.” The curriculum is open to adults who want to learn about these cutting-edge marketing topics or who are pursuing their Certificate in Business Management.

Special thanks to Kristin Dono who just joined us for her winter 2012 internship here at Newberry. Kristin is a Massachusetts resident and a senior at Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI where she is working toward her Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing Communications. She wishes to pursue a career in marketing and public relations upon graduation from college.
